Collecting and using Personal Information

I do not collect any personal information about you through this website other than information you may choose to submit through my contact form or in the use of my online gallery. This information is only used for the purpose you provided it.

This also applies to any information collected through competitions or promotions on this website, Facebook or Twitter.

Collecting and using Technical Information

My web server collects information about visits to the this website in its logs. This information may include the ip address of the visiting computer, the browser type, previous website visited, the top level domain of the visiting computer (.net, .org, .com etc.), pages visited on my website and the geographic region that the computer is located in. This information is used to produce summary reports which help me to understand where my websites visits come from and to better structure and present my website.

Two applications used by my website, store cookies on your computer. Cookies are pieces of technical data stored in small text files on your computer:

Google Analytics - this is a tool provided by Google which allows me to view information about visits to my website (visits from Google searches, search terms used, website pages viewed, time spent on the website, returning visitors, country etc.). None of this information identifies an individual. The cookies are named _utma, _utmb, _utmc and _utmz.

WordPress - this is my Blog software. WordPress stores cookies when facilitate the presentation of the blog pages on the visitors browser. They collect no personally identifiable information. The cookies are named wp-settings-1 and wp-settings-time-1.

In addition, one other cookie is used to record when you click the "OK with me" button when the cookie usage warning banner is displayed. This will prevent the banner being shown repeatedly.

Images on this Website

As a professional photographer, I rely on my images to market and promote my business. I also prefer to use real images to do this rather than using models. For this reason, my booking forms and contracts request consent to use images on my website and in other media for marketing and promotion.

It is my policy not to associate any technical information collected with a specific individual. It is also my policy not to disclose this technical information to a third party (other than my website service provider who is recording this information on my behalf) unless obliged to do so by law. The technical information collected does not represent "personal data" as specified in the Data Protection Acts 1988-2003.
